The preparations for Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris 2019 are well underway. Since 2011 the tournament is part of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour as one of its most successful events.
By now the first of the former contestants are starting to push through on the ATP-tour and reaching the top-10. The most recent proof is the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas who played in Kungens Kanna for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012. In October 2018 he returned to the Royal Tennis Hall for the ATP-tournament Intrum Stockholm Open and went all the way and won his first ATP-title. He continued this year with another triumph in the Next Generation ATP Finals in Milan, a tournament for the best players under 22 years. Tsitsipas is the first participant from Kungens Kanna or Drottningens Pris to make a name for himself as a professional player, who will be next in line?
Welcome to the Royal Tennis Hall the 23rd of February to the 2nd of March and watch the stars of tomorrow.
